Day 29 Gijon to Cudillero

30 August 2019

Martin is back cycling with us today having 99% recovered.

Navigating out of Gijon was a little confusing this morning trying to avoid busy traffic. We ended up on our planned route which was a very busy road with a lot of heavy truck traffic. A friendly local cyclist came to our aid speaking only Spanish led the way for us, helping avoid the worst of the dangerous road.

Further on we passed heavy industrial towns with steel making and coal. It was nice to get off the main road and have a few kms on the Camino track. A long lunch was had before arriving at our two night stop in Cudillero. It has been another overcast and very humid day. The temperature tonight has dropped.
